About
At an altitude of 2213 meters, in the heart of a spectacular mountain cirque, the lake of Lanoux is one of the starting points to travel through the Carlit Massif. This natural lake, the Etang de Lanoux or Estany de Lanòs, was already the largest lake in the French Pyrenees before it was raised by a dam built between 1957 and 1960.
