Les Toiles du Soleil

The history of Toiles du Soleil dates back to 1897, when a factory was established to weave the fabric used to make espadrilles. This Catalan weaving quickly gained a great reputation, and its success was such that St. Laurent de Cerdans came to be known as the “capital of the espadrille.” Later, fabrics for deck chairs and table linens also made their appearance.
