Natural sweet wines of Roussillon
Banyuls, Maury, Rivesaltes, Muscat de Rivesaltes: four names for wines whose sweetness comes from the grape alone, preserved by mutage. Roussillon is their historic cradle, with appellations among the first in France, as early as 1936.
PDO Collioure since 1971
Collioure and Côtes du Roussillon
On the schist terraces of the Côte Vermeille as on the hillsides of the Agly and the Aspres, the Roussillon also produces dry wines: PDO Collioure, Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes du Roussillon Villages, together with the PGI Côtes Catalanes.

Collioure anchovies
Anxoves de Cotlliure Salted by hand and matured for long months in barrels, the anchovies of Collioure perpetuate a centuries-old craft. Two family firms, Roque and Desclaux, keep it alive under the protection of a PGI registered in 2004.
Vallespir and Perpignan
Rousquille and touron
A white-glazed crown born in the Vallespir, the rousquille is enjoyed all year round; touron, a nougat of almonds, hazelnuts or pine nuts, is the Christmas sweet of Catalan families. The two great delicacies of the Roussillon.
